We are currently seeking a part-time Youth Care Specialist to join our Gresham Residential Team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the children of mothers participating in our recovery programs while they attend group sessions. This position averages 8 hours per week, primarily scheduled for evenings on select weekdays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering comprehensive care for infants and children through the organization of social, educational, and recreational activities.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment by ensuring room upkeep and organizing supplies.
  • Documenting clinical records, including child development plans and progress notes, in compliance with established clinical protocols.
  • Collaborating with primary counselors to provide insights and support as needed.
  • Offering parenting education and support in both group and individual settings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Educational background or training in child psychology and knowledge of child development.
  • Previous experience in a professional childcare role.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engage with others.
  • Recent experience with computer systems.
