Job Title: Youth Outreach Specialist/Resource Navigator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Outreach Specialist/Resource Navigator to join our team at IRCO. As a key member of our outreach team, you will work closely with homeless youth, providing guidance, information, and services to support their well-being and empowerment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach and engage with homeless youth, providing support and resources to help them access essential services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with youth, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Provide case management services, including intake enrollment, customer satisfaction surveys, and referrals to partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development, and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience working with homeless youth, preferably in a shelter program or with the Homeless Youth Continuum.
  • Knowledge of best practices and culturally appropriate strategies to engage immigrant and refugee youth experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong intercultural and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with current auto-insurance and access to a vehicle during work hours.
