Job Title: Foster Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Foster Care Support Specialist to join our team at Native American Youth And Family Center. As a Foster Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing case management services to Native American youth in foster care, including advocacy, support, and connection to community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management services to Native American youth in foster care, including assessment, planning, and coordination of services.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each youth, including cultural and linguistic support.
  • Build and maintain relationships with foster families, youth, and community partners to ensure a comprehensive support system.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to provide access to resources and services, including education, employment, and housing support.
  • Document and track progress, including data collection and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Indian Child Welfare Act and Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Welfare required.
  • Experience working with Native American youth and families, particularly in foster care and child welfare systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
