Job Overview

Dabri, Inc. is on the lookout for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Project/Program Manager, focusing on the development and planning of projects for educational facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and coordinates all aspects of the pre-construction, bidding, construction, and project close-out phases for assigned projects.
  • Reviews pre-construction documentation and provides feedback to the design team as needed.
  • Organizes and prepares reports for senior management regarding project status and progress.
  • Collaborates with relevant public agencies during the pre-construction and construction phases to ensure compliance with all off-site work and coordinates with various project staff.
  • Manages project budgets and schedules to meet the district's quality standards; conducts monthly budget reviews to ensure accurate reflection of project status.
  • Supervises daily contractor activities, reviews construction schedules and submissions, and coordinates responses to contractor inquiries through Requests for Clarifications (RFC) and related documents.
  • Evaluates substitution requests from contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and district requirements.
  • Receives, assesses, and negotiates Contractor Change Order Proposals to establish fair pricing in line with General Conditions; addresses schedule impacts promptly as per project specifications.
  • Monitors payment processes for contractors, architects, engineers, and other involved parties.
  • Administers Professional Service Agreements between architects and the district.
  • Coordinates the delivery of related fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
  • Oversees project close-out procedures, ensuring project certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and financial closure.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of full-time professional experience in Project/Construction Management for Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction, with full responsibility for managing complex projects valued at $2M or more.
  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management from an accredited institution.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
  • Familiarity with the Division of State Architects (DSA) construction/design/certification process.
