Position Overview:

The Avionics Test Engineering division at Raytheon Technologies is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the role of Senior Electrical Engineer. This position is pivotal in crafting and maintaining intricate engineering solutions tailored for both internal and external clients, including military and commercial aviation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and facilitate the design, creation, modification, and assessment of electronic devices and circuitry, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards and budget constraints.
  • Engage in research, development, and testing of electrical components and systems to meet specified business objectives.
  • Generate engineering sketches or specifications for the construction, relocation, or installation of equipment and systems.
  • Compile documentation detailing proprietary hardware or software specifications, product development timelines, costs, and performance metrics to monitor progress and evaluate outcomes.
  • Conduct engineering tasks and applied research to innovate and design new products that meet quality benchmarks and business goals.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to test equipment in production.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable regulations.

  • Familiarity with avionics products and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience managing projects with stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
