Melbourne, Florida, United States Avidyne Full time

Avidyne Corporation stands at the cutting edge of the aviation sector, pioneering the integration of sophisticated avionics into both traditional and innovative advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft.

We are committed to transforming the aviation experience.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Avidyne, you will be instrumental in guiding the design, development, and enhancement of electrical circuits, components, and systems for our state-of-the-art avionics products.

Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including planning board-level architecture, designing and testing interfaces, reviewing and approving design modifications, and managing specific segments of our product design initiatives.

This position transcends typical engineering roles; it offers a chance to be at the forefront of avionics innovation, directly impacting the evolution of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing Innovative Solutions: Lead and participate in the design, documentation, and testing of digital processor circuit boards, interfacing with various sensors essential for flight systems.
  • Ensuring Quality: Oversee segments of design projects, engaging in reviews and implementing design modifications to guarantee project success.
  • Enhancing Processes: Design, fabricate, and test CPU, GPU, Data-bus, memory, and FPGA interfaces, contributing to ongoing product enhancement and innovation.
  • Fostering Collaboration: Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and customers, providing your expertise throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Communicating Effectively: Deliver clear and concise written and verbal communications to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and timely project advancement.
  • Mentoring Future Talent: Guide junior engineering professionals, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support their development within the organization.

To excel in this position, we seek candidates who not only possess technical proficiency but also demonstrate the ability to learn and adapt in our dynamic industry. A genuine passion for aviation, coupled with a desire for knowledge, drives innovation within our teams.

A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in schematic/layout design and testing PCBs for product integration, is essential (or a master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience). Additionally, candidates must show a practical proficiency in modern PCB production technologies and electronics capture software.

At Avidyne, we provide more than just a job; we offer an opportunity to turn aviation dreams into reality. As part of our team, you will have access to flight training and the chance to earn your pilot's license, opening up a world of possibilities both within and beyond the cockpit.

Imagine the thrill of piloting an aircraft and experiencing the freedom of flight firsthand—all while gaining a unique perspective on the products you helped create.

This is an opportunity that few roles can offer.

If you are enthusiastic about aviation, innovation, and pushing the limits of what is achievable, we would like to hear from you.
