Position Overview

Carnegie Imaging for Women/Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates is seeking a motivated individual to become a part of our Patient Services Department as a Front Desk Agent. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, whether in person or over the phone, addressing inquiries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Answer calls promptly and maintain direct eye contact while interacting with patients. Streamline the sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Ensure patient appointments are managed effectively by notifying providers of patient arrivals, monitoring service delivery against the schedule, and alerting providers to any delays.
  • Assist in the revenue collection process by accurately recording and updating patient financial details, processing co-pays, referrals, and payments for non-participating insurance plans. Direct overdue accounts to the billing coordinator.
  • Actively listen to patient concerns or complaints, providing appropriate solutions or escalating issues to the relevant staff member when necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by maintaining strong relationships between patient services, clinical teams, billing, and other departments within the organization.
  • Serve as a communication hub by managing phone calls and directing messages to the appropriate personnel, ensuring urgent matters are addressed promptly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of public and patient areas, such as the front desk and waiting room, to uphold a positive image and readiness to assist patients.
