About the Role

Patterson Companies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our New England team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising the sales and internal operations of the branch, including management of the sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate sales activities as well as market trends and customer needs for sales optimization.
  • Develop sales team by providing ongoing training and development and by giving specific and constructive feedback to foster development of skills.
  • Review and evaluate the work of direct reports to assess job performance.
  • Partner with Operations Manager to create a customer service culture within the branch, identifying process improvements to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
  • Participate in the selection process determining personnel needs to ensure coverage on all jobs and that branch obligations are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, management, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience with a proven track record in sales is required.
  • Background in customer service, sales and asset management is ideal. Previous experience supervising sales teams is highly preferred.
