Sonic Drive-In Restaurant Operations Manager

As a Restaurant Operations Manager at SONIC, you will lead your team in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our customers enjoy their meals in a clean, safe, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, train, and mentor Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
  • Assign tasks to restaurant staff to meet food service operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employee handbook.
  • Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures.
  • Develop employee work schedules and adjust staffing levels as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies while adhering to cost control measures.
  • Maintain accurate employment and payroll records.
  • Promote a customer-centric approach among all staff members.
  • Address guest requests and complaints promptly and respectfully.
  • Conduct interviews and hire staff to maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Prepare operational reports and create action plans to address financial or sales challenges.
  • Design and implement marketing strategies to enhance restaurant visibility.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
  • At least two years of management experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in quick-service restaurants.
  • Availability to work a minimum of five days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of recruitment and selection processes.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and health regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic accounting and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining SONIC's appearance and hygiene standards.
