Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager, Cell Manufacturing to join our team at Tesla. The successful candidate will have proven experience in all facets of automated manufacturing maintenance to support sustainable production and new part/equipment introduction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Develop and implement systems to track current shop conditions and identify key areas of improvement.
  • Breakdown Management: Understand short-term vs. long-term actions and systems used to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • PM/TPM Development and Implementation: Reference past improvement initiatives and % improvements.
  • Equipment Spare Parts Management: Determine critical vs. non-critical parts and audit methods to ensure no risk condition.
  • Training and Development: Assess current skills sets and develop training action plans.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in maintenance or equipment management or a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of extensive experience with trouble-shooting and correcting industrial equipment maintenance - breakdowns and failures in Automotive Industry.
  • Robotic and controls programming skills; Bonus if experience is with Fanuc or Kuka Robotics systems.
  • Maintenance experience in a vehicle assembly shop on a journeyman level, experience with power electronic systems is a plus.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect part quality, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance, etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.
