Clinical Educator Critical Care Services Full Time Days

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center Shared Services. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff across various departments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education, and in-services.
- Collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming.
- Act as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Implement a comprehensive education program for assigned units, following and contributing to Tenet educational goals and vision.
- Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities, and mentorship opportunities.
- Deliver and coordinate other educational programs, such as Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, job-specific, and specialty curricula, to support competence and professional growth of Tenet nursing staff.
- Participate in continuing education provider unit learning, evaluating nursing education activities that qualify for continuing education credit.
- Assist in the development of clinical policies and procedures as requested.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
- 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Current State Licenses & Certifications.
- Participates in projects and educational activities as assigned for the department.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues across Tenet to advance goal achievement and strategic vision alignment.
- Demonstrates skill in navigating and communicating in a complex environment.
- Fosters achievement of Nursing Education/Development goals and objectives.
- Demonstrates responsibility for reporting to licensing, certification, accreditation, and other regulatory bodies for educational program compliance.
- Interacts with staff in an ethical, consistent, fair, timely, appropriate, and decisive manner in accordance with organization-wide and Nursing Department policies.
