The Detroit Medical Center Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Educator to join our team. As a Critical Care Educator, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff across various departments, including Tele/IMC/PCU, Transitional Care Unit, IV Team, Monitor Techs, Cath Lab/EKG/CVRU/Cardiology, and more.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education, and in-services.
- Collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming.
- Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities, and mentorship opportunities.
- Deliver and coordinate educational programs, such as Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, job-specific, and specialty curricula, to support competence and professional growth of Tenet nursing staff.
- Participate in quality performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
- 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Current State Licenses & Certifications.
