We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center Shared Services. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff in Perioperative Services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff in Perioperative Services, including classroom and clinical experiences.
- Collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming.
- Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities, and mentorship opportunities for nursing staff.
- Deliver and coordinate educational programs, including Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, job-specific, and specialty curricula, to support competence and professional growth of nursing staff.
- Provide leadership to preceptors and serve as a role model through educational programs and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
- Participate in continuing education provider unit learning, evaluate nursing education activities, and participate in activities to keep abreast of changes to market/facility policies/procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
- 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Current State Licenses & Certifications.
