We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our Perinatal Services team at the Detroit Medical Center Shared Services. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational needs of our nursing staff and ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for nursing staff, including classroom and clinical experiences.
- Collaborate with facility and market nursing leadership to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming.
- Provide consultation and guidance to nursing staff on continuing education, professional development opportunities, and mentorship.
- Deliver and coordinate educational programs, including Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, and job-specific curricula.
- Lead preceptors and serve as a role model through educational programs and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
- Participate in continuing education provider unit learning and evaluate nursing education activities for continuing education credit.
- Assist in the development of clinical policies and procedures as requested.
- Provide guidance, resources, and knowledge for professional growth of others.
- Mentor colleagues, other nurses, students, and others as appropriate.
- Participate in quality performance improvement activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
- 2 years of nursing experience in Perinatal Services preferred.
- Current State Licenses & Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP).
This is a full-time position working days, with a shift beginning at 7:00 AM and ending at 3:30 PM.
