Clinical Educator Perioperative Services Full Time Days

The Detroit Medical Center Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team in Perioperative Services. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including classroom instruction, clinical experiences, and learning technologies.
- Collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming.
- Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities, and mentorship opportunities for nursing staff.
- Deliver and coordinate other educational programs, such as Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, job-specific, and specialty curricula, to support competence and professional growth of Tenet nursing staff.
- Provide leadership to preceptors and serve as a role model through educational programs and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
- Participate in continuing education provider unit learning, evaluating nursing education activities that qualify for continuing education credit, and staying abreast of changes to market/facility policies/procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
- 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Current State Licenses & Certifications.
- Participates in projects and educational activities as assigned for the department.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues across Tenet to advance goal achievement and strategic vision alignment.
- Demonstrates skill in navigating and communicating in a complex environment, fostering achievement of Nursing Education/Development goals and objectives.
- Reports to licensing, certification, accreditation, and other regulatory bodies for educational program compliance.
- Interacts with staff in an ethical, consistent, fair, timely, appropriate, and decisive manner in accordance with organization-wide and Nursing Department policies.
