About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex civil engineering projects, including natural gas pipelines, electrical distribution and transmission systems, renewable energy infrastructures, dams, water resource management, stream restoration, landfill engineering, and mining facility development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that all projects meet client expectations, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through final implementation, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with and guide local and remote teams, including engineers, designers, and construction professionals.
  • Utilize your deep technical knowledge to drive innovative solutions, optimize design processes, and ensure the practical application of engineering principles across all projects.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional growth.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or an appropriate technical field, a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplined teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, and are well-organized.
  • Experience in client development and proposal writing.
  • Ability to develop and lead a design team possessing a strong work ethic and the ability to work as a TEAM player.
