About the Job

This position is responsible for processing patient registrations and admissions into the clinic for their appointments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare operations and be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate patient care episodes and assist with financial aspects of the visit, including collecting co-pays and determining eligibility for the Sliding Fee Scale program.
  • Communicate essential information to patients about the organization's procedures, patient rights, and access to care.
  • Provide information about services, including access to CUHCC services, emergency care, and behavioral health services.
  • Collect documentation of informed consent to services and rights and responsibilities of the patient and the organization.
  • Ensure the privacy of patient health information and handle the release of protected health information, as requested.
Requirements
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a business or office setting, with a focus on customer service and communication.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working in a multicultural medical or social services setting.
  • Fluency in English and Somali is required, with the ability to pass a language test for proficiency in both languages.
