Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President of Food Safety to join our team at JMJ Consulting Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our food safety and quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in our quality systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement food safety and quality strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate food safety risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement quality policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage budgets for food safety and quality initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to direct and indirect reports to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Ensure that all quality procedures and processes are accurate and performing to expectations in all areas of the Quality Department.
  • Collaborate with other leadership throughout the organization to ensure the effective and safe commercialization of new materials.
  • Ensure cross-functional teams and all vendors are fully aligned on the development and execution of our food safety and quality plans.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Compliance in Food Manufacturing, or other technical environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; preferably in Food Science and/or related field.
  • Strong leadership, technical, communication, and organizational skills required along with attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality systems, procedures, & policies helpful.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Positive focus on solutions with an emphasis on preventative pro-active measures and team-building.
