About the Role:

The Senior Sterilization Specialist is responsible for ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are prepared and ready for use. This role serves as a technical resource on processing, sterilization, and assembly to Sterilization Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and prepare instrument sets and case carts.
  • Serve as a technical resource to Sterilization Technicians.
  • Decontaminate and sterilize all instruments and equipment according to procedures.
  • Check inventory levels and assure maintenance of par levels for all instruments and supplies.
  • Follow OSHA and TJC guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Registered Central Sterilization Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Surgical Tech certification CST or TS-C or CORST.
  • Two (2) or more years previous work experience as a Sterilization Technician or prior experience as a Surgical Technician.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

This role requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, walking, reaching, and repetitive motion. The individual must be able to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, and adapt to frequent change.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with overnight hours.
