Job Summary

STERIS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Manager II to oversee the management and facilitation of production, projects, and quality within our Customer IPS engagements. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our Customers' expectations are met by managing activities and complying with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage an engaged team to provide excellent day-to-day service that meets the Customer's needs and contractual obligations
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and possess the ability to engage and coach team members
  • Interview, hire, assist with training, coach, and discipline employees to meet company objectives and Customer requirements
  • Build and maintain a culture of employee engagement and retention through regular communication and ongoing training
  • Utilize staffing tools and communicate with Customers the appropriate staff mix and properly align staff with fluctuating demand
  • Ensure delivery of Customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and conduct regularly scheduled meetings with Customers to review quality metrics
  • Mentor front-line leadership team members in building relationships with Customer service line coordinators
  • Develop higher-level relationships within the Customer organization, including but not limited to OR Managers, Directors, and V.P.'s, and manage Customer expectations within the scope of work
  • Resolve client issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of the contract(s) and support educating and training Customer leadership in all aspects of contracted services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of leadership experience in Sterile Processing or a related field
  • High School diploma with 8+ years of Sterile Processing experience and 5 years of leadership experience in Sterile Processing or a related field
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (4+ years)
  • Experience in process management and quality control (3+ years)
  • Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or HSPA required
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and ability to travel across the US
