Sterile Processing Team Lead

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety through the proper processing and sterilization of medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of the sterile processing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
• Supervise and train sterile processing technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of sterile processing services.
Requirements:
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sterile processing, with a strong background in supervisory or management roles.
• Certification as a Registered Central Sterilization Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Surgical Tech certification (CST or TS-C or CORST).
• High school diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field preferred.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, at our Short Pump location. EEO Employer/Disabled/Protected Veteran/41 CFR
