Position Overview:

If you are an IT expert seeking a rewarding role within a prominent organization, Emerson's RIDGID Products division presents a compelling opportunity. This role is situated in a dynamic manufacturing setting, utilizing the JD Edwards ERP System alongside MEP scanning and data collection tools. You will be responsible for collaborating with Corporate IT teams to ensure the effective management and upkeep of both software and hardware systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Support and Maintenance:
    - Collaborate closely with Corporate IT personnel to sustain current system hardware and software. Ensure the uninterrupted functionality of network infrastructure (wired and wireless), PC servers, desktops, production printers, data collection devices, security systems, timekeeping devices, and communication systems.
  • End User Support:
    - Provide assistance to users regarding IT equipment and systems.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis:
    - Aid various departments in generating reports, queries, and dashboards tailored to this location's specific needs, whether automated or ad-hoc.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    - Work alongside other teams to enhance operations, particularly where technology can serve as a solution, providing local insights to corporate developers.
  • Additional Duties:
    - Undertake other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • A Technical Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with software applications, including:
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows
    • Networking knowledge (Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP)
  • Proficiency in computer hardware, including:
    • PCs and peripherals, LAN (switches, Cat5, fiber), WAN (routers, fiber internet)
  • The ability to interpret and draft documents such as policies and procedures, as well as correspondence and reports.
  • Flexibility to assist other shifts when necessary.
  • A commitment to teamwork.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with report writing tools (e.g., Hubble, BI, Domo) and MRP software, particularly J.D. Edwards.
  • Strong presentation skills.
