Position Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing personnel to guarantee high-quality client care and optimal team performance, aligning with HealthRIGHT 360's mission and objectives. This position involves providing clinical and administrative support to site nursing supervisors, managing staff schedules, and liaising with external agencies as directed by the medical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision, training, and mentorship to nursing supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and performance standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage performance improvement processes.
  • Facilitate training sessions and provide necessary resources for nursing staff.
  • Support recruitment and staffing processes for nursing positions.
  • Maintain effective communication with medical and program directors regarding staff and client needs.
  • Organize and lead team meetings to enhance client care and staff development.
  • Assist in triaging client medical concerns in collaboration with community medical partners.

Clinical Oversight:

  • Oversee nursing treatment services to ensure they are delivered within the scope of practice.
  • Ensure nursing staff provide trauma-informed and culturally competent care.
  • Review clinical documentation to meet quality management standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Facilitate client case conferences as needed.
  • Promote collaboration among all members of the behavioral health team.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure treatment plans align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with contractors and collaborators.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and program requirements.
  • Support nursing staff in adhering to operational policies and procedures.
  • Consult with medical leadership regarding client assignments and workload distribution.
  • Oversee lab orders and ensure timely review of lab results.

Direct Service Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing services as required, including crisis intervention and assessments.
  • Maintain clinical oversight of nursing operations.
  • Assist with medication management and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Coordinate pharmacy services and manage prescription oversight.
  • Ensure documentation is completed for all client interactions.
  • Provide medication education and support to staff and interns.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with a current California license and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health or community health setting.
  • At least seven years of nursing experience, preferably in community health.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR).
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and trauma-informed care.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including homeless and LGBTQ communities.
  • Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers and relevant regulations.
  • Strong foundation in Quality Improvement principles.
