Position Overview:
If you are an IT expert seeking a rewarding role within a prominent organization, Emerson's RIDGID Products division offers a unique opportunity. This role is designed for a specialist in a dynamic manufacturing setting, utilizing the JD Edwards ERP System alongside MEP scanning and data collection tools. You will be tasked with collaborating with Corporate IT teams to ensure the consistent management and upkeep of both software and hardware systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Support and Maintenance:
    Collaborate closely with Corporate IT to maintain existing hardware and software systems. Ensure the seamless operation of network infrastructure (wired and wireless), PC servers, desktops, production printers, data collection devices, security systems, and communication tools.
  • End User Support:
    Provide assistance to users regarding IT equipment and resolve any technical issues that arise.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis:
    Assist various departments in generating reports, queries, and dashboards tailored to the specific needs of the location. These can include both automated reports and ad-hoc queries.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Work with different teams to enhance operations, particularly by leveraging technology as a solution. This may involve local initiatives or providing insights to corporate developers.
  • Additional Duties:
    Engage in other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate Profile:
You play a crucial role in the maintenance of IT applications and infrastructure. Your collaboration with Corporate IT on projects is essential for the enhancement of existing systems. You will provide timely data and reports to support production departments in achieving their objectives.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows.
  • Networking knowledge: Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP.
  • Experience with computer hardware, including PCs, peripherals, LAN (switches, Cat5, fiber), and WAN (routers, fiber internet).
  • Ability to interpret documents such as policies and procedures and to compose correspondence and reports.
  • Willingness to assist other shifts as necessary.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with report writing tools such as Hubble, BI, Domo, etc. Familiarity with MRP software, particularly J.D. Edwards, is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation skills.
