Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Purchasing Buyer to join our team at our West Des Moines, Iowa facility. The Purchasing Buyer will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement, logistics, and inventory management of assigned products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely procurement of all designated products.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels for assigned items.
  • Negotiate to achieve the best total cost for all products under management.
  • Oversee the logistics associated with all assigned products.
  • Foster and maintain effective communication with our supply chain partners.
  • Present a professional image in all interactions with suppliers.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adept at problem-solving, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and confidently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a two-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Liberal Arts, Engineering, or Logistics, along with one to two years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, or a combination of education and experience totaling five years.
