Join Our Team as a Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to enhance our team at Dragados. This role involves collaboration with the Design and Engineering department, which is responsible for overseeing the development of major projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate project meetings to gather and share relevant information.
  • Review technical specifications and drawings, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Coordinate the flow of technical information between the company and stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive work plans and procedures to initiate construction activities and secure necessary approvals.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and Field Design Changes (FDCs) related to project design, ensuring resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Schedule and monitor project activities to ensure timely completion, including liaising with external suppliers.
  • Create detailed bills of materials based on project specifications and drawings.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations by analyzing technical data and cost standards.
  • Identify potential conflicts or delays in the construction process through thorough review of project drawings.
  • Ensure accurate representation of project charges for accounting purposes.
  • Oversee subcontractors and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance inspections.
  • Support company initiatives and coordinate the implementation of Safety, Health, and Environmental programs.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a construction or engineering environment.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Field experience in heavy civil projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 Scheduling Software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Goal-oriented with strong follow-up abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and monitor activities.
