Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Jack in the Box. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Internal Service: Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees to ensure a high-performing team. Monitor staffing levels, implement effective training systems, and identify internal candidates for management and leadership positions.
  • External Service: Manage daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance, providing an exceptional experience for guests through proper training and holding the team accountable for delivering excellent service and food quality.
  • Sales & Profits: Analyze restaurant operational and financial performance, identify trends, and implement action plans for improvement. Focus on increasing restaurant sales and profitability by executing the Service Profit Chain and understanding its impact on the overall business.

  • Food Quality/Safety: Demonstrate a strong awareness and concern for food quality and safety, and restaurant cleanliness, and convey importance to the restaurant team.
  • Business Management: Be willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and change, and understand the importance of change and implement, manage, and support change initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Internal Promote: Minimum of 1 year's experience as an Associate Manager and/or 2 years' experience as a First Assistant Manager; must be 100% certified in all workstations. External Recruit: Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be at least 18 years old, complete Restaurant Manager training classes, and be ServSafe certified. Requires ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to perform and understand basic math concepts.
