Job Summary

Marion Technical College seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Aspire Program Manager. This key position will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the Aspire program, ensuring its alignment with the College's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain departmental goals, objectives, and assessments for the Aspire program, ensuring alignment with College and state-level requirements.
  • Serve as liaison between the College and the Ohio Department of Higher Education's Aspire – Adult Workforce Readiness Education Office, advancing the program and ensuring compliance with WIOA grant requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of program operations, including data collection, record-keeping, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supervise and mentor Aspire program staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful program implementation.
  • Investigate and implement learning strategies and instructional delivery methods, supervising the program's instructional processes.
  • Publicize the program for recruitment of students, coordinating with College Marketing and other departments to ensure effective outreach and engagement.
  • Plan, prepare, and administer the Aspire annual budget, ensuring compliance with grant parameters and College policies.
  • Maintain liaison with colleagues in other institutions and Aspire programs, actively participating in professional associations and attending relevant meetings and conferences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; three to five years of teaching or tutoring experience in an academic setting, with strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with excellent computer and related technology skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete projects on time with minimal direction and oversight.
  • Previous experience in public higher education desired; any combination of work experience, training, and/or education equivalent may be accepted.
Working Conditions

This position is classified as Staff - Management, Professional, Administrative, and Support, and will perform a wide range of professional and administrative support functions for the College, primarily in an office setting.
