Job Title: IT Product Owner (Systems Analyst)

Fully Onsite- Warren, MI

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Product Owner to join our team at Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering value to our customers and stakeholders. You will work closely with the Product Manager, other Product Owners, and Agile teams to align the team backlog with the product vision, roadmap, and customer needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Voice of the Customer: You will represent the voice of the customer and the business within your product domain, ensuring that the product meets the quality, compliance, and security standards of the organization.
  • Apply Customer-Centric Tools: You will apply customer-centric and design thinking tools to identify and validate customer problems and solutions, working with the Product team to establish and maintain the team backlog.
  • Prioritize and Refine the Backlog: You will prioritize and refine the team backlog to ensure that the product features are delivered on time and provide the expected value, participating in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective ceremonies.
  • Review and Accept Work: You will review and accept the work done by the Agile team, providing feedback and guidance to ensure that they deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
  • Communicate Effectively: You will communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including Product Management, System Architects, Business Owners, and other Product Owners.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Systems Analyst, or a similar role in an IT environment.
  • Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification or equivalent.
  • A solid understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • A strong customer focus and a passion for delivering value.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed environment with multiple teams.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
