NESCO Inc is seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee daily operations in the production area, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, monitoring performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Manager will be responsible for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage departmental production, safety, environmental controls, employee development, quality, and cost controls.
- Ensure the health and well-being of employees.
- Adhere to Company Code of Conduct, plant labor agreement, and plant rules.
- Protect Company assets from loss or damage.
- Oversee team members assigned work to meet Safety, Quality, OEE, and Delivery Targets.
- Ensure team members follow Standardized Work and provide coaching support.
- Ensure team members complete 5s/TPM activities and maintain Workplace Organization Standards.
- Ensure a smooth and seamless shift transition.
- Responsible for record integrity (documentation, shift end paperwork, training matrix, overtime charts).
- Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years production supervisory experience.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Ability to work any shift, weekends, and all scheduled overtime.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts.
- MS Office tools fluency, especially Excel.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, reliable, and strong initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with leaders, peers, and others as required.
