The Chief Risk Management Officer will spearhead the clinical risk management initiatives at Cantex Continuing Care Network, focusing on the identification and mitigation of risks within the healthcare environment. This role is pivotal in fostering effective clinical management strategies that prioritize patient, visitor, and staff safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Risk Management Program aimed at recognizing, assessing, and addressing potential risks to both residents and employees.
- Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations concerning risk management.
- Document and report risk-related metrics and incidents to regulatory bodies as required.
- Collaborate with the legal department to manage claims and litigation effectively.
- Promote a culture of patient safety and loss prevention throughout the organization.
Quality Assurance Performance Improvement:
- Oversee and coordinate Quality Assurance Performance Improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Present comprehensive reports at quarterly meetings regarding compliance with quality assurance and risk management standards.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and implement necessary improvements.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Direct and guide facilities to achieve optimal compliance with quality improvement programs.
- Work closely with operational leaders to facilitate effective onboarding and training processes.
- Foster an organizational culture centered on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in skilled nursing facilities and risk management.
- Current RN license is mandatory; certification in Risk Management is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence within Cantex Continuing Care Network.
