Position Overview:

Sign-on Incentive:

Work Schedule:
Full Time, Monday-Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities:
Expenditure Oversight:

Conduct thorough reviews of all expenditures and FTE allocations on research accounts for Principal Investigators (PIs), Research Managers, and Research Directors to ensure adherence to award and proposal stipulations, as well as organizational, sponsor, and federal regulations.

Requisition Assessment:

Evaluate and authorize requisitions for expenditures related to sponsored projects.

Financial Reporting:

Compile and distribute summary reports of all financial data associated with sponsored projects within the designated portfolio, presenting findings to Clinical Research Unit (CRU) managers, directors, and PIs on a quarterly basis for evaluation. Make necessary adjustments as required.

Error Resolution:

Identify and rectify discrepancies, ensuring timely and appropriate corrections of incorrectly posted expenses through journal entries or other methods.

Critical Information Sharing:

Collaborate with PIs and the CRU team to complete essential tasks related to sponsored projects, including:

  • Providing salary and fringe benefits information for budget formulation.
  • Preparing financial data for progress reports.
  • Forecasting surpluses or deficits at the conclusion of project periods.
  • Developing future spending plans aligned with upcoming award allocations.
  • Adjusting and managing labor distribution for PIs and study team members.
Additional Responsibilities:
Undertake other tasks as assigned and necessary.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree.

Certification:
NCURA or ACRP certification in Research Financials.

Experience:
Relevant experience in post-award management within a healthcare organization, university, academic medical center, or research institution.

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with NIH Grants Policy Statements, OMB Circular A-133, DHHS Policy, and PCROI Policy.

Experience with Workday Finance, Workday Grants, or other enterprise-level ERP systems.
