Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities:

Expenditure Analysis:
Conduct thorough reviews of all expenditures and FTE allocations on research accounts for Principal Investigators (PIs), Research Managers, and Research Directors to ensure adherence to award and proposal stipulations, as well as organizational, sponsor, and federal regulations.Requisition Oversight:

Evaluate and authorize requisitions related to sponsored project expenditures.

Financial Reporting:

Compile and distribute summary reports of all financial data pertaining to sponsored projects within the assigned portfolio, presenting findings to Clinical Research Unit (CRU) managers, directors, and PIs on a quarterly basis for review. Make necessary adjustments as required.

Expense Corrections:

Identify and rectify discrepancies, ensuring timely corrections of inaccurately posted expenses through journal entries or other methods.

Critical Information Sharing:

Collaborate with PIs and the CRU team to complete essential tasks related to sponsored projects, including:

- Providing salary and fringe benefits information for budget formulation.
- Preparing financial data for progress reports.
- Projecting potential surpluses or deficits at the conclusion of project periods.
- Developing future spending plans aligned with upcoming award allocations.
- Adjusting and managing labor distribution for PIs and study team members.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other tasks as assigned and necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required.

Certification:
NCURA or ACRP certification in Research Financials preferred.

Experience:
Relevant experience in post-award management within a healthcare organization, university, academic medical center, or research institution is essential.

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with NIH Grants Policy Statements, OMB Circular A-133, DHHS Policy, and PCROI Policy.

Experience with Workday Finance, Workday Grants, or other enterprise-level ERP systems.
