Position Overview

The Quantitative Finance Analyst will conduct thorough analyses on key initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and strategic decisions within our multi-strategy hedge fund. This role requires proficiency in communication, research, computational finance, modeling, and business analysis. Candidates should have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Python, and other automation tools as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a solid academic background, and relevant work experience. They should demonstrate intelligence, motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in diverse teams. A positive attitude and a readiness to take on additional responsibilities based on performance are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire in-depth operational knowledge of proprietary and third-party analytical models.
  • Exhibit expertise in financial and computational methodologies related to analytical models.
  • Enhance Portfolio Optimization and cash flow functionalities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design prototype analytical models.
  • Facilitate effective communication and cross-functional collaboration with business subject matter experts and IT development teams.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Mathematics, or Quantitative Finance with a strong academic record preferred. An undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, or related fields will also be considered.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial sector.
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA is required.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, Python, and/or MATLAB is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • A robust sense of ownership, accountability, and personal responsibility.
  • Experience working in team settings under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.
