Position Overview:
This is a remarkable opportunity for an innovative and strategic leader to oversee the flagship Horizons initiative at Horizons National.
Role Responsibilities:
The Chief Program Officer will establish the strategic direction for Horizons' mission, cultivate and manage a high-achieving team of six, along with a summer workforce exceeding 100 individuals. This role involves collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, families, educators, board members, alumni, benefactors, and both national and local partners.
Organizational Context:
Horizons National is dedicated to providing essential resources—be it physical, human, financial, or community-based—that support its programs.
Reporting Structure:
This pivotal position reports directly to the Head of Horizons National, in collaboration with the Board Chair of Horizons.
Mission Impact:
The Chief Program Officer is strategically positioned to further the organization's commitment to transforming the lives of underserved children and youth through comprehensive year-round educational and enrichment initiatives aimed at fostering learning, promoting success, and bridging the opportunity divide.
