Position Overview

Greenwood Industries is in search of a qualified Project Superintendent to be based at our Worcester, MA headquarters. The responsibilities of the Project Superintendent encompass the following:

  • Ensure unwavering adherence to safety protocols
  • Oversee daily operations at job sites, ensuring sufficient materials and supplies for various crews
  • Enhance job site efficiency and manage costs effectively
  • Coordinate scheduling with sales and management, including the designation of material staging areas
  • Supervise site foremen, ensuring compliance with policies and providing training for roofing system installations
  • Address inquiries from clients, site foremen, management, and crew personnel regarding scheduling and operational issues
  • Conduct site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings to grasp project scope
  • Maintain open communication with ownership and management regarding critical job progress, employee performance, and client satisfaction
  • Coordinate work schedules with clients and subcontractors, informing supervisors of any changes
  • Keep accurate job site records, including daily reports, delay requests, and weather updates as necessary
  • Monitor project progress and manage costs
  • Provide necessary information and support to estimators for significant change orders
  • Participate in daily departmental meetings and weekly scheduling discussions
  • Foster a strong field team to deliver exceptional service to our clients

Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years of experience as a commercial roofing Superintendent
  • Proficient in multitasking and managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Skilled in interfacing with consultants, owners, subcontractors, general contractors, and company management
  • Expertise in quality assurance for commercial roofing systems
  • Willingness to perform other related duties as required
  • Must possess a valid Superintendent License
