Residential Repair Project Coordinator


Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester's Home Repair Program is dedicated to assisting individuals in enhancing their living environments.

By collaborating with local homeowners, the Home Repair Program provides support for essential repairs, ensuring the safety and durability of their residences.

The Residential Repair Project Coordinator will oversee and manage all facets of the construction process within the program.

This includes conducting initial assessments of repair needs, procuring materials, coordinating with necessary contractors, and engaging in hands-on repair work.

The Residential Repair Project Coordinator will work closely with Habitat volunteers and AmeriCorps Members.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Organize site services required for each project (e.g., waste disposal & sanitation facilities)
Ensure that Habitat possesses the necessary tools and equipment for construction and that they are properly maintained
Provide daily updates to the Construction Manager
Participate in required construction meetings

Material & Tool Management:
Transport tools & equipment to the site as necessary
Order, track inventory & assess the quality of materials delivered to the site and manage returns

Volunteer & Subcontractor Supervision:
Collaborate with the Construction Manager to schedule subcontractors
Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to arrange volunteer schedules
Safeguard homeowners' belongings and property during construction
Instruct volunteers on task completion
Engage current homeowners in the construction process when feasible, collaborating with regular volunteers
Ensure that all work is performed to high standards and completed promptly
Clear the site of all tools, equipment, and materials at the project's conclusion and conduct final clean-up
Monitor daily site safety and enforce compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations

Inspections:
Assume responsibility for adhering to all relevant building codes
Schedule necessary inspections for the project

Punch List Management:
Ensure that all punch list items are addressed accurately and in a timely manner
Discuss the homeowner's feedback on the work and any outstanding items

Qualifications:
Home Repair Contractor License

Lead Certification, or willingness to obtain lead certification

Preferred Skills:
Emotional Intelligence:
Ability to effectively interact with diverse homeowners, lead volunteers, and subcontractors
Construction Supervisor's License

Reports to:
Construction Manager

Employment Type:
Part-time, Exempt

Compensation:
$18-$21 per hour

Background checks, including driving records & CORI/SORI, will be required for final candidates.
