Role Overview

As a Customer Success Manager, you will be an integral part of our New Energy team, a dynamic and results-driven group dedicated to delivering comprehensive business and technical solutions to AutoGrid's clients and partners.

The CSM serves as a business leader and operates across various functions. You will collaborate closely with our clients and partners to ensure that the value derived from AutoGrid solutions is fully realized, identify opportunities to deepen our client relationships, and assist our clients in navigating their transition to a smarter energy ecosystem.

In this role, you will also work closely with our Sales, Pre-Sales, and Product teams, acting as the customer's advocate within AutoGrid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them define, quantify, and achieve their objectives while maximizing value.
  • Establish strong, trusted relationships with clients to expand both capacity and program scope.
  • Report on progress towards goals to client stakeholders during quarterly and executive business reviews.
  • Empower clients to become proficient users of the AutoGrid Flex platform, sharing knowledge gained while addressing their most critical challenges.
  • Advocate for clients by identifying and communicating their pain points and requirements to the Product team for roadmap prioritization.
  • Collaborate with the AutoGrid Sales team and Project Managers to develop account and program strategies that enhance client relationships and drive additional business opportunities.
  • Work with Customer Support to prioritize and escalate issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Create best practices and thought leadership content based on insights gained from client interactions.
  • Manage multiple accounts simultaneously, effectively prioritizing your efforts and those of your team members.
Qualifications

Required:

  • BS/MS/PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as customer success, strategic account management, or management consulting, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Proven track record of working directly with clients, including developing account strategies and building relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the electricity industry, with experience at a utility or aggregator.
  • Adaptability to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Ability to understand client priorities and strategic directions to facilitate account growth.
  • Competence in understanding client use cases and conducting fit/gap assessments relative to AutoGrid solutions.
  • Experience with SaaS product deployment in enterprise settings and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work with a global team across multiple time zones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Passion for customer success and excellence.

Preferred:

  • Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
  • Familiarity with Customer Success software such as Gainsight or Churn Zero.
  • Awareness of emerging trends in the energy industry and their implications for clients.
