Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist II plays a vital role in managing various aspects of human resources and employee benefits. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities including:
- Documentation Management: Develop and process necessary documentation for personnel changes, including demographic updates, benefits, wages, and job positions.
- Database Maintenance: Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of databases and tracking systems to support HR operations.
- Employee Engagement: Conduct meetings with employees to address benefit inquiries and process requests.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and documentation in personnel files and electronic systems.
- Recruitment Support: Participate in recruitment processes, including application reviews, interviews, background checks, and candidate recommendations.
- Policy Guidance: Provide orientation and guidance to employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Compliance Assistance: Support Workers' Compensation claims, employee injury reporting, and maintain OSHA logs.
- Leave Management: Assist with the administration of employee leaves of absence.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other HR staff as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field with three years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with extensive experience deemed acceptable by the reviewing agency.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and agency operating systems.
- Ability to produce comprehensive reports and respond to inquiries.
- Sound judgment in both routine and emergency situations.
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including prolonged sitting and lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
