The Human Resources Generalist II plays a vital role in managing various aspects of human resources and employee benefits. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities including:

  • Documentation Management: Develop and process necessary documentation for personnel changes, including demographic updates, benefits, wages, and job positions.
  • Database Maintenance: Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of databases and tracking systems to support HR operations.
  • Employee Engagement: Conduct meetings with employees to address benefit inquiries and process requests.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and documentation in personnel files and electronic systems.
  • Recruitment Support: Participate in recruitment processes, including application reviews, interviews, background checks, and candidate recommendations.
  • Policy Guidance: Provide orientation and guidance to employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Compliance Assistance: Support Workers' Compensation claims, employee injury reporting, and maintain OSHA logs.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field with three years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with extensive experience deemed acceptable by the reviewing agency.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Skills Required:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and agency operating systems.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive reports and respond to inquiries.
  • Sound judgment in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including prolonged sitting and lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
