Desktop Services Technician

A highly regarded law firm in Washington, D.C. is seeking skilled applicants for a Desktop Services Technician opening. This is an on-site, contract role based out of the Washington, D.C. office. Preferred applicants will have demonstrated experience providing exceptional customer service in addition to 2-4 years in a Helpdesk or Desktop Support environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to employees, including troubleshooting issues related to laptop/desktop performance, resolving issues related to standard desktop kit/peripheral connectivity, and imaging/provisioning/deploying laptops and desktops for replacement.
  • Printer Support: Troubleshoot printer hardware and connectivity issues.
  • Office Preparation: Prepare offices for new hires and attorney office moves, including wiring vacant offices with close attention to cable management.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Loaner Laptops: Configure and deploy loaner laptops for travel and break/fix.
  • Firmware Updates: Update firmware for docking stations in stock.
  • Webcam Configuration: Configure firm-issued webcams in stock.
  • IT Space Organization: Keep IT space organized for efficient and effective use of stock.

Lawyers On Demand offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate's general skill set, the applicability of the candidate's skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
