Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-qualified Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at our Dulles, Virginia headquarters. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Help Desk support to our clients, resolving Level One issues over the phone, and collaborating with Network Technicians and Sr. Systems Administrators to resolve more complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Identify, diagnose, and resolve Level One problems for users of mainframe, personal computer software and hardware, local network, the Internet, and new computer technology in a call center environment.
  • Problem Resolution: Provide one-on-one end-user problem resolution over the phone for company-approved Personal Computer (PC) software.
  • Hardware and Software Support: Deliver, tag, set up, and assist in configuring end-user PC desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Network Support: Diagnose and resolve end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems, and mainframe, e-mail, Internet, dial-in, and local-area network access problems.
  • Equipment Repair: Coordinate timely repair of PC equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
  • Desktop Hardware Repair: Perform minor desktop hardware repair for PC equipment and peripherals not covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
  • Network Installation: Assist Network Technicians in creating materials for end-user frequently asked questions (FAQs).

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to interact with clients daily in various capacities, and demonstrate professionalism and courteousness.
