Job Title: Communications Manager

The Communications Manager plays a vital role in the smooth administration and operations of the Holy Cross Institute. This full-time, twelve-month position is responsible for raising awareness about the Institute's programs and activities through various communication channels. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of professional experience in a related field, with strong written and oral communication skills, organizational abilities, and project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies to promote the Institute's programs and activities.
  • Draft and edit event announcements, web materials, social media entries, and other Institute publicity outreach.
  • Manage event preparation, execution, and follow-up, including scheduling and logistics, vendor coordination, and budget oversight.
  • Assist the Executive Director with contract setup, invoice processing, and financial transactions, ensuring compliance with Grantors and university guidelines.
  • Contribute to the annual fundraising and corporate sponsorship program for the HCI and assist the Executive Director and the office of advancement with grant applications.
  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance as it applies to the position.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years of professional or management experience in a related area
  • Proven skills in written and oral communications, organization, project management, and event management
  • High degree of organizational and administrative ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines efficiently
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and team-oriented work ethic
  • Collaborative work style with a willingness to respond to an evolving set of priorities
  • Strong technology skills
