We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Relief Residence Counselor to join our team at Greater Mental Health of New York. As a Relief Residence Counselor, you will provide daily supervision and support to culturally diverse adults recovering from mental illness and residing in community-based congregate settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily supervision and support to individuals in a community-based setting.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans to promote recovery and independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- High School graduate or equivalent with some college coursework in Human Services preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations recovering from mental illness preferred.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must obtain and maintain Defensive Driver Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Must maintain pre-employment clearances by applicable regulatory clearances as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Salary Range: $15.75/hr or $16.25/hr with ASL proficiency.
- Flexible Work Arrangements: Subject to business needs, including hybrid options.
- Paid Time Off: 25 days of PTO, 12 sick days, and 11 company-paid holidays per year (prorated for part-time staff).
- Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision plans for staff working 30+ hours.
- Retirement: 403B plan with discretionary employer contributions after 1 year.
