Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinician to join our team at Greater Mental Health of New York. As a key member of our Mobile Outreach Team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive services to individuals and families in the Lower Hudson Valley region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day functioning of the Mobile Outreach Team.
  • Oversee the schedule of visits and ensure timely completion of documentation.
  • Provide supervision and direct service, including engagement, assessment, and accompaniment to behavioral health and medical appointments.
  • Support residential staff and family members.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff on discharge planning.
  • Assist in crisis prevention and response.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a mental health field, with 2 years of experience working with individuals recovering from significant mental health issues and those with co-occurring disorders.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness in group and individual settings.
  • Ability to engage clients through the development of a therapeutic relationship and adapt to new or changing conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of the recovery process and principles of person-centered planning.
  • Comfortable working in the community, meeting individuals on inpatient units and in residences.
  • Knowledge of community resources and mental health services.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records preferred.
  • Experience working with a diverse population.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles.
  • Must obtain and maintain Defensive Driver Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Must maintain pre-employment clearances by applicable regulatory clearances as required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
