Clinical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinician to join our team at Greater Mental Health of New York. As a key member of our Mobile Outreach Team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive services to individuals and families in the Lower Hudson Valley region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day functioning of the Mobile Outreach Team.
- Oversee the schedule of visits and ensure timely completion of documentation.
- Provide supervision and direct service, including engagement, assessment, and accompaniment to behavioral health and medical appointments.
- Support residential staff and family members.
- Collaborate with hospital staff on discharge planning.
- Assist in crisis prevention and response.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a mental health field, with 2 years of experience working with individuals recovering from significant mental health issues and those with co-occurring disorders.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness in group and individual settings.
- Ability to engage clients through the development of a therapeutic relationship and adapt to new or changing conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep understanding of the recovery process and principles of person-centered planning.
- Comfortable working in the community, meeting individuals on inpatient units and in residences.
- Knowledge of community resources and mental health services.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse population.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles.
- Must obtain and maintain Defensive Driver Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Must maintain pre-employment clearances by applicable regulatory clearances as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

- Salary Range: $50-60K, based on departmental budget, qualifications, experience, education, and licenses.
