Key Responsibilities:
Oversees the transfer of medical records custodianship from the client to the organization; serves as the primary liaison for the client; collaborates with client representatives, medical records department staff, and other relevant personnel to ensure a seamless transition.
Engages with clients and internal teams through various communication channels; ensures all pertinent parties are kept informed regarding the custodianship transition; provides updates on progress and relays necessary information as required.
Verifies that medical records are received in compliance with client agreements and relevant departmental and organizational policies and procedures.Additionally, addresses inquiries and concerns from medical facilities; offers resolutions when feasible or escalates issues to a supervisor when necessary.
Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs additional related tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
Customer-focused with strong service skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
Intermediate computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
Capability to adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding sensitive document handling and disposal.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Recent experience in customer service and/or office settings is preferred; experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous.
