Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the assigned program through knowledge of the strategic plan goals and by providing administrative leadership in planning, organizing, and implementing programs. Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating departmental activities
  • Securing confidential information and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Receiving and responding to requests for information regarding the program
  • Assisting the program to coordinate meetings, projects, trainings, and conferences
  • Communicating information regarding events and meetings in a timely manner
  • Maintaining and developing policies and procedures within the department
  • Preparing official correspondence for the program
  • Maintaining databases and providing support and information to physicians, residents, and families regarding patient needs
  • Developing brochures and marketing materials for patients, families, staff, and outside physicians
  • Participating in community outreach by meeting with community physicians, providing information about the program, and establishing a line of communication between BNI and physicians in the community
  • Independently maintaining patient databases for the neurology team

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of related clinical experience within the healthcare industry or a minimum of three years of direct experience working in healthcare program coordination. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with basic computer skills. Preferred qualifications include five or more years of experience and an associate's degree.
