Chief Development Officer

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England is seeking a seasoned Chief Development Officer to lead our fundraising efforts and drive growth in support of our mission.

About the Role

The Chief Development Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve our goals. This includes cultivating and soliciting major gifts, managing a team of development professionals, and collaborating with executive staff and volunteer leadership to engage and expand philanthropic support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to achieve our goals
  • Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Manage a team of development professionals to ensure effective delivery of all development functions
  • Collaborate with executive staff and volunteer leadership to engage and expand philanthropic support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, board members, and community leaders
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant philanthropic investments
  • Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and close six-figure gifts from individuals
  • Experience managing a high-performing development team and leading an 8-figure plus capital campaign
  • Strong cross-cultural communications skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
