Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Gaylor Electric, Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of electrical assemblies, alterations, and additions in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Team Management: Provide guidance, instructions, and support to a team of electrical fabricators to ensure successful completion of fabrication projects.
  • Fabrication Planning and Coordination: Review project requirements, blueprints, and specifications to determine materials, tools, and equipment needed for each project.
  • Fabrication Execution: Lead by example, demonstrating expertise and proficiency in various fabrication techniques, including planning, bending, welding, assembling, and finishing materials.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to verify it meets required standards, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Material and Resource Management: Manage the availability and utilization of materials and resources, including maintaining an inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Champion Gaylor's safety culture in the fabrication environment, enforcing and promoting adherence to safety protocols.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-solving: Identify and resolve technical problems or obstacles that arise during the fabrication process.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fabrication projects, including creating and updating fabrication logs, work orders, and project reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement, suggest process enhancements, and implement best practices to optimize workflows and achieve better results.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor members of the manufacturing team, sharing knowledge and demonstrating techniques to help them improve their skills and knowledge in fabrication.
Requirements
  • License Requirement: Only in states and locales where required.
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent studies/experience.
  • Experience: Four or more years of electrical experience, supervision of crews preferred and meets position requirements.
