Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to support ongoing maintenance requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to company safety procedures and protocols.
  • Repair and maintain production machines and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and test equipment.
  • Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, utilizing hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Troubleshoot PLC and Electromechanical equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Complete preventative and unplanned maintenance tasks, assist in line changeovers, and collaborate with other Maintenance Technicians, Production Operators, Leads, and Managers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and timely.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, with occasional overtime, and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Profile

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school in a related field (Preferred).

Required Skills

  • Reliability and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of machine controls (PLCs, Sensors, I/Os).
  • Knowledge and experience with Welding, Fabrication & Machine Shop Equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to consistent attendance.

Work Environment

  • Safety. Your safety is our top priority. We provide proper training and PPE. All employees are encouraged to share safety tips. Some job tasks require walking or standing most of the time during the shift and may include bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling of material. You must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, within team lift guidelines.
  • Surroundings. Fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be working around production equipment, moving powered industrial vehicles, and interacting with other employees.
  • Team environment. It is essential that you work well with others in a team-oriented atmosphere. Good interpersonal skills and demonstrating respect to others are highly valued.
