Job Title: Industrial Electrical Foreman

Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of electrical fabricators to ensure successful completion of fabrication projects.
  • Plan and coordinate fabrication activities, reviewing project requirements, blueprints, and specifications to determine materials, tools, and equipment needed.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating expertise and proficiency in various fabrication techniques, including planning, bending, welding, assembling, and finishing materials.
  • Ensure the quality of fabricated products, inspecting completed work to verify it meets required standards, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Manage the availability and utilization of materials and resources, maintaining an inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment needed for fabrication projects.
  • Champion Gaylor's safety culture in the fabrication environment, enforcing and promoting adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and equipment.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems or obstacles that arise during the fabrication process, collaborating with the team, engineers, or designers to find effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fabrication projects, creating and updating fabrication logs, work orders, project reports, and any other relevant documentation.
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve fabrication processes, efficiency, and quality, identifying areas for improvement, suggesting process enhancements, and implementing best practices.
  • Train and mentor members of the manufacturing team, sharing knowledge, demonstrating techniques, and providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills and knowledge in fabrication.

Qualifications:

  • Four or more years of electrical experience, supervision of crews preferred and meets position requirements.
  • High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience. Completion of accredited apprenticeship preferred.
